One of BLT Chemical Tanker, MT Tirtasari (5,878 DWT), loading Biodiesel or Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) at Port of Tarjun, South Kalimantan, for domestic Indonesia distribution. Indonesian government, under B30 programme, encourage the usage of Biodiesel up to 30% to be mixed with petroleum gasoil.
Our fleet has the advantage to perform this FAME cargo, mainly for those who requires major oil approval such as SIRE report. FAME is under MARPOL Annex II and Chapter 17 IBC Code, which suppose to be carried by Chemical Tanker IMO Type II. On another side, since it is domestic shipment, the vessel shall be Indonesian flag under the cabottage rule.
